This Esencia Garnacha Tintorera is a deep, dark cherry red. It has typical notes of ripe Garnacha Tintorera; grapefruit, figs, black currants, blackberries interwoven with balsamic vinegar and smoky notes from the ripening process. The first sensation in the mouth is sweet with a balanced acidity and the tannins that prolong the palette. The power of the Garnacha Tintorera can be felt and the extra factor finish of roasted coffee beans provides extra length. The overall feel is complex and reminds us of forest fruits mixed with vanilla, coffee and tobacco. Ideal to combine with beef, game and aged cheeses. The proteins from the meat perfectly match the tannins from the wine, which makes for a delicious mouthfeel. We advise to consume this wine within 10 years after harvesting at a temperature between 16 and 18 ° C.
The vineyards used for these wines have been selected through a careful selection process by a technical team. In search of maximum quality, the selection is largely based on the age of the vineyard, yield and the overall health of the vineyard. With this premium wine, much attention is paid to detail during the harvest. The vineyards are at least 40 years old. The harvest is done in boxes of 100 kg with a strict selection upon arrival in the wine estate.
The Garnacha Tintorera has an intensely colored must, with a high alcohol content, is very tannic and structured, with a balanced acidity. It can give very dense, alcoholic, colored wines with aromas of very ripe or sun-dried red fruit. It is the Garnacha Tintorera grape, which gives this wine its particularity, as well as color and structure.
Malolactic fermentation is applied in new 500 liter French oak barrels. Here it matures for at least 14 months.
