The Chablis Réserve has a pale gold color with light green reflections. The fragrance invites you with notes of exotic fruits, lemon, flint, undergrowth and field mushroom. Lime flower, mint and acacia aromas also come with a hint of licorice and freshly cut hay. This wine has delicate woody aromas that reveal its power on the palate. Lively, powerful with a nice minerality and an almond finish. Age depends on the color and adds a touch of spice to the bouquet. In the mouth, these aromas retain their freshness for a longer period of time. Persistent and sympathetic persistence leads to a smooth and serene finish. Chablis is a very dry and impeccably delicate and has a unique and classic recognizable personality. The 2014 vintage is ready to drink now, but will last for another 5 to 8 years. Enjoy as an aperitif with good cheeses or with a pasta with seafood, grilled white fish or even with lobster!
Located near Auxerre in the Yonne department, the Chablis vineyards line a small river appropriately named Serein. The Cistercian monks of Pontigny Abbey started growing vines here in the 12th century. The Chablis AOC status was created in January 1938, confirming the excellent qualities of this dry white wine, which, despite the wines of some other regions, has held its leading place throughout its history thanks to the high quality of its raw material - the Chardonnay grape.
Storage potential: 5 to 8 years.
