The color of this Deshenrys Rouge is ruby red with beautiful reflections. It has a nice complexity in the nose with an emphasis on the aromas of fresh dark fruit. It is full, generous and fresh. It goes well with all types of meat: beef, veal, pork and poultry. It is also a nice combination with dried ham and sausages and country pâtés.
After destemming the grapes, they undergo a relatively short alcoholic fermentation to retain the primary aromas. Maturation takes place in concrete barrels and the wine is bottled at the end of winter.
Deshenrys has been in the possession of the Bouchard family for 5 generations and takes its name from the first name Henry given to the various administrators who have followed the fate of the estate.
