Nicolas Bouchard Deshenrys Rouge 2019

The color of this Deshenrys Rouge is ruby ​​red with beautiful reflections. It has a nice complexity in the nose with an emphasis on the aromas of fresh dark fruit. It is full, generous and fresh. It goes well with all types of meat: beef, veal, pork and poultry. It is also a nice combination with dried ham and sausages and country pâtés.

After destemming the grapes, they undergo a relatively short alcoholic fermentation to retain the primary aromas. Maturation takes place in concrete barrels and the wine is bottled at the end of winter.

Deshenrys has been in the possession of the Bouchard family for 5 generations and takes its name from the first name Henry given to the various administrators who have followed the fate of the estate. Located in the town of Alignan du Vent, this "village property" benefits ( i.e. not all in one piece) of a series of excellent different terroirs on which the grape varieties corresponding to the soil are planted. Terrasses villa franchises with clayey gravel soils, pilocene and clay-limestone marl from the heights of Piochs for the red wines. The result of this diversity of terroirs is surprising, harmonious, balanced and charming. The sea breeze and the tramontana temper the sunshine.
