The wine is garnet in color. In the fragrance it is very expressive with notes of raspberry, wild blackberry and violet. The wine is elegant, round, soft with volume on the palate. Fresh red fruit is reflected in the juiciness and continues in a long, very fruity finish.
The vineyards that form the terroir of Château Langoa Barton "look" towards the river Gironde. The gravel that lies between the vines in the vineyards ripens each harvest, after which the grapes are ruthlessly selected for the vinification of Langoa Barton. Plowing is traditional, without weeds or herbicide. The vines are planted with 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc.
The harvest is done completely manually. After destemming, the grapes are carefully sorted, pressed and placed in thermally regulated wooden barrels according to the different vineyards. The alcoholic fermentation takes 7 to 10 days. The maceration takes about 3 weeks, after which the barrels are disposed of batch by batch. The wine is then aged for between 16 and 18 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new barrels, in a cellar kept at 15 °.
