Sophenia Synthesis Malbec 2018

This Synthesis Malbec has an intense red color with clear purple tones. An intense aroma with floral notes such as violets, roses and lavender. Spices like black pepper are combined with ripe red fruits, plums and cherries. The aging in French oak barrels gives elegant smoky tobacco aromas in combination with mocha. In the mouth the wine starts generous and sweet, a full concentrated body with a persistent and elegant aftertaste.

The grapes are selected from the best areas of a Malbec vineyard planted in pie franco. This vineyard has a sandy loam soil and 15-20% boulders. This plot is characterized by the low vigor, so you get small bunches of grapes with small grapes and a very thick skin. Special pruning and irrigation techniques are used to maintain its natural balance and to obtain the highest quality grapes that show the best of the soil. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected.

Aging: Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.

Aging potential: 12-14 years.
