This wine made from 100% Marselan (a crossing of Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon) is intense ruby red in color with notes of fresh black fruit on the nose. Soft and ripe on the palate bursting with blackberry and cherry aromas with undertones of liquorice. Silky tannins support this soft wine with a long and fruity finish. Serve it with grilled meat, charcurterie, farm and game pâté and hard cheeses.
Domaine de l'Armet is located just outside Montpellier and has been in the possession of the Biscaye family for 5 generations. Emmanuel Biscaye is the driving force behind the domain he inherited when he was still a student. From the moment he owned the domain, it was his aim to modernize the wine estate in terms of vinification and production methods. The redevelopment of the vineyards was also an important goal. Quality over quantity was the aim. This focused thinking resulted in 2010 in the domain's first crop according to Emmanuel's new thinking. The wines are all very pleasant with lots of fruit, good structure, nice balance and elegance.
